Guest Artist

Dr. Dawn Marie Lindblade, Associate Professor of clarinet at the University of Central Oklahoma, joined the faculty in the fall of 2011. She also teaches during the summer for Clarinet Pro Workshops with Executive Director, Julie Linder.
An active chamber musician, she currently performs as a member of the Sugar Fish Reed Trio (with KaDee Bramlett, oboe and Lori Wooden, bassoon), the Post Oak Trio (with Robert Glaubitz, baritone and Sallie Pollack, piano), the Otis Trio (with Tess Remy-Schumacher, cello and Sallie Pollack, piano), and the Lupine Trio (with Hong Zhu, violin and Sallie Pollack, piano). Her CD featuring these groups, ‘Connections: Trios’, will be released this summer at the International Clarinet Association’s Clarinetfest. In May 2016, Sugar Fish toured five Conservatories and Universities in the cities of Guangzhou, Chengdu and Beijing, China.
Her conference performances include the International Double Reed Society, the International Horn Society, The International Clarinet Association’s Clarinetfest, the University of Oklahoma Clarinet Symposium, College Music Society National and Regional Conferences, and the Society of Composers, Inc. National Conference.
Dawn Marie previously taught the clarinet studio at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, La. Prior to that position she served as visiting professor of clarinet and chamber music at the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music. She studied with renowned pedagogues Dr. Elsa Ludewig-Verdehr, Dr. James Gillespie and Dr. Kimberly Cole-Luevano.
Dawn Marie Lindblade is a Selmer Paris performing artist and performs on Seles Présence clarinets. Dawn Marie is also a Performing and Reserve Method Artist for D’Addario Woodwinds and performs exclusively on Reserve Mouthpieces and reeds.
